Yes, online lessons work just as well as in-person ones. All lessons are tailored to you regardless of format.

It depends on the instrument. Piano can be started very young, from around age 3. Flute typically needs a bit more physical development, so I recommend starting around age 10-11. Many younger students enjoy starting on the recorder first, also playable from around age 3, as a stepping stone toward the flute, though it's not necessary.

Never: adults are very welcome, whether picking up an old hobby or starting completely fresh.

Basic music theory is part of every instrument lesson. For those who want to understand music more thoroughly, I also offer music theory as a standalone subject.

Yes, having your own instrument is necessary for lessons. If you're not sure what to get, I'm happy to help you choose the right one.

Practice needs are individual and depend on your age, level, and goals. I know everyday life doesn't always leave much room for practicing, so lessons are planned to get you the best possible progress within the time you realistically have.

When you book a block of 5 or 10 lessons, we agree on a schedule together. Within that, one lesson can be rescheduled in a block of 5, and two in a block of 10. Lessons cancelled beyond that aren't rescheduled or refunded, though exceptions can always be made depending on the circumstances, so just get in touch if you're concerned about this.

Yes, every new student gets one trial lesson. You can choose whichever lesson duration you'd like to try, and it's priced at half the regular rate for that length.

I teach flute, piano, recorder, and music theory. I also offer piccolo lessons for students who'd like to try something a little different.

In-person lessons take place at Øvingshotellet, Trondheimsveien 2H, 0560 Oslo.

I teach in English, Norwegian, and Slovak/Czech, so lessons can be held in whichever language works best for you.

Just a keyboard or piano at home to follow along with the videos and lessons, plus the motivation to see your song through. That's genuinely all it takes.

Within reason, yes. During our assessment call we'll talk through your song choice together, and adjust it a little if needed so it's realistically achievable in the time we have.

That depends a bit on the song and which tier you choose, but most students are ready to perform within a few weeks.

Absolutely. Play to Impress works whether you're starting from zero or already have some experience, the arrangement and pace are adjusted to wherever you're starting from.

Not at the moment, Play to Impress is currently offered for piano only.
